Can you imagine the US response if Iran did the same? The US has been busy killing Iranian scientists, causing explosions and attacking Iran with computer viruses. Israel and Britain are the chief US assistants in this mischief.
I think Iran's response has been quite muted, and I can see why nuclear weapons are their only guarantee against annihilation by those three countries.
Iran has suffered greatly at the hands of the US, from the overthrow of a democratically elected leader, the installation of the Shah, and sanctions since them at the urging of Israel.
