Don't have Windows ME myself, but if it's anything like Win98, if you go to your Network settings in the Control Panel (not Users) there will probably be a place you can select a domain instead of a workgroup in setup. In an office situation, for an amateur like myself, a really good way to do this is to find someone whose system works and see what their settings are.
