Ashcroft and his Christian agenda

If I thought facts would affect anyone's opinion on these boards, I'd post 'em.

But, I'm kinda tired of trying to point out to people the Israeli settlements are actually illegal, and invite hostility. That the Israelis practice religious discrimination against their own citizens, which tends to irritate them. That building settlements on Palestinian land is an invasion, and people everywhere react negatively to invasion.

I've tried to explain that war crimes invite hatred which is likely to perturb folks. That a peace agreement which takes away land, and water rights, and the right of people who have sought education abroad to come home, is not a fair agreement. That a "peace" agreement which leaves the invaded country sprinkled with outposts of sovereignity of another country isn't a reasonable agreement.

But, these boards don't believe those.

It is humbling to point out that a people who cannot prevent themselves from being arrested, detained, their homes from being leveled, their land invaded does not have a chance to kill every one of their oppressors, let along drive them into the sea. People on this board believe the Palestinians are a threat to the nation of Israel. Seriously. Facts don't seem to matter.

As I said, if I thought a factual case had a chance against bias and prejudice, I'd post it.
