Now, without studying the complete Democratic Socialist Party program, and the entire Democratic Party program I couldn't give you a good answer. And I'm sure Rush and Boortz and given you the talking points. I've seen 'em published.

However, if you except ownership of basic industries and centralized economic planning from the Communist Party programs, do you think they would be much different from anyone elses?

They can all be made to sound the same. Believe in freedom, civil rights for all citizens, security, blah, blah, blah. Governments all sound the same. In practice they may not be, may imprison citizens without due process, etc. But they sound the same, or very similar.

If you want to believe a person is Socialist (as opposed to (lower case) socialistic) even though they are a registered Democrat, voted as a Democrat, been elected as a Democrat, go ahead. It's your mind. You are in good company. Spires can't remember saying all Palestinians are soldiers.
