Precision is extremely difficult with you.
However, if you except ownership of basic industries and centralized economic planning from the Communist Party programs, do you think they would be much different from anyone elses?
I did NOT exempt "centralized economic planning," which as we can see from our own experience in our mixed economy, does not by any means require centralized ownership.
Sorry--I would not wish on anyone the reading of the entire Democratic Socialists of America program. Suffice it to say, most of it is semantic gas, a load of nouns looking for a verb, or maybe vice versa. In fact, just to save you some time, it is extremely hard to find any socialist organization that seems to be able to explain its principles in less than 100 pages. It is also hard to find any socialist website that is not packed with dense verbiage that says very little. For another good example, check out the Platform of the Massachusetts Democratic Party.* Some of this is just the natural windiness of politicians (to be fair, the Republican Party platform of Massachusetts, while shorter, less vague, and easier to read, is no postcard either). But some of it is a desire to fog over their true goals.
Just to make it easier on you, I have been studying the basic principles of capitalism and socialism informally for almost thirty years, and I feel I ought to let you know that if I thought there actually was any basic political goal of the Democratic Party that did not go right down the centerline of basic socialist principles, I would not have set you up with that question. And believe me, I get my talking points from people with a lot more mental ammunition than Boortz and Limbaugh.
To simplify: ask yourself if the Democrats have EVER proposed any major policy that would have the net effect of REDUCING the power of the central government over its citizens.
*Ayn Rand was able to state the basics of her philosophy while standing on one foot. Clarity and brevity are the enemy of those who are trying to conceal their true goals.
