From the Wall Street Journal.
The contempt felt by the self-styled elite of this nation for Middle America pervades everything. Tell me some of you didn't feel a surge of amused superiority when you read that little newspaper piece at the beginning of the article.
Those who are elected officials, particularly on the national level, work to conceal this contempt, but it's still there. Hollywood doesn't even bother, as revealed by their depictions in movies or television of anyone who doesn't live in Los Angeles or New York.
