Countless WWII planes featured nose art based on the paintings of Alberto Vargas. That represents "nose art" of the highest order. The guy in the most of that A-26 is a far cry from being considered nose art. Besides, that looked like a good restoration, so I think the owner could probably afford to add proper nose art to the plane.
Speaking of nose art, one of the more famous examples from WWII was "Marge", the portrait of Dick Bong's fiance. Dick Bong was America's all-time leading ace with 40 kills, all in the Pacific theater and most in the P-38. I got to meet the real "Marge" back in 1996 at Oshkosh. She's quite a lady. Dick and Marge were married not too long before the war ended. Sadly, Dick was killed test flying a Lockheed P-80, one of our first jet fighters.

Perhaps, but that guy isn't a Vargas girl
