I don't know how it happened, but for the past couple weeks, I've been receiving as many as 15 email messages a day at my home account that contain a virus. The messages have subject lines that claim they're rejected transmissions (system administrator) for invalid addresses. I didn't send any messages out, so I know they're bogus. They typically have attachments like "Happy Assumption" or "Nice Game", so I know they're trouble. I did test one and confirmed it was infected. Some of them even say in the title line, "Check attachment for explaination" regarding the message rejection. Sneaky bastards.
I make sure I have the latest virus definitions for Norton Antivirus, I've swept my system, and have the latest security downloads for my email program, so I'm reasonably sure the problem isn't on my end.
I've tried to find someone at Earthlink to see if they can help me block these messages, but their customer support tab doesn't have an email address or phone number where I can actually discuss the problem someone.
Anyone else having this problem?
