Well, this is very embarrassing. What morons would be voting for this, oh wait its my neighbors. Stevens County is just outside of Spokane, WA where I work. The Office Manager in my office actually lives on Loon Lake. She's even more embarrassed.
Hopefully common sense will prevail in November. Libraries should be looked at as an asset of any community, not a tax burden. I can't believe people are saying we don't need libraries, 'cause we have Barnes & Noble. I read about 1 book every 2 weeks. I certainly can't afford to pay for 2 books a month, so that I can read it once and then put it on the shelf, where no one else will touch it. These loons have it wrong. Libraries are empowering, because it no longer matters whether they make 15,000 a year or 150,000 per year. The books are there for everybody.
