First off, I think allied forces should have discontinue the 'no fly' zones a long time ago. Iraq has shown no aggression recently towards Kuwait, and as long as we can protect Kuwait (if they want protection) there is no reason to forever violate Iraq's sovereignty. Eventually Iraq will have to take posession of its own land and air. This situation that we have now has lasted longer than World War II and is equivalent to the Cold War with the Soviets. Isn't it more plausible that the real danger from Iraq is against their neighbors rather than the USA? Are Americans afraid now because they have continued their campaign TOO LONG, and have now created an enemy that may now want to kill Americans even more than to kill Kuwait citizens?

Is it just guilt ?
