It appears were political soulmates. ;-)
I know I am stereotyped as a hard right winger but I am clearly a centrist on many issues. I never have been knee-jerk reactionary to all issues on any one party line. I dislike how Christine Whitman has been treated by the GOP - primarily because of her pro-abortion, non-strict partyline stance.
The real world demands flexibility.
