Why it's important
One reason the seemingly-insignificant VH1 "Pravda" bit is an issue is because during elections, both VH1 and MTV set themselves up as major resources for young potential voters. They sell themselves as being "balanced," when in fact they are not. In the upcoming era of restrictions on private support of candidates, it becomes even more critical to point out that those in the media who are supposed to be unbiased observers and reporters, are in fact firm supporters of the Democratic Party.
