A friend loaned me "The Dark Side of Camelot", by Seymour Hersh and "Palimpsest", by Gore Vidal.

Both very, very interesting books. I had no idea how close to impeachment Kennedy came. Deserved it, too.

And Vidal has had a very, very interesting life. He may or may not be an asshole, don't know. I suspect you haven't read him, though.
