Voting problems

I hate to bust your bubble, but EVERY state has problems like this. The only reason Florida was put under a spotlight was because it got hit in 2000 with the once-in-a-million-years double whammy of A: being a very close race and B: being the state that swings the election.

Every state has discarded ballots, problems with voting, and other issues.

There was a report generated on this, which, if you overlook the usual overbearing, whining, "It's All A Racist Plot" overtones of the Congressional Black Caucus author, still provides some useful numerical data on this.

Florida just happened to make the headlines, and the focus is still on that state. Elections are an imperfect process, and they work because the electorate accepts a certain amount of inaccuracy in the process.

Actually, considering what the process is trying to do--get every eligible voter in America to come to a convenient place nearby and cast a ballot with no hassle--it's a miracle it works as well as it does.
