There may be other phenomenon associated with near-death experiences. When the brain acknowledges that death may be imminent certain perceptual changes may occur. They may include lucid dreams and brief perception of vague apparitions even while awake. It may also include enhanced sensitivity to weather patterns, especially electrical storms and high humidity. This may continue for months after the near-death experience.
