I'm sure that more than a few honest businessmen and entrepreneurs are getting a bit sick of being held up as monsters for the crimes of a few, and being hated for supporting the nation on their backs.
If anyone at USA Today has ever gotten within a mile of the book, I'll eat my hat. Sonnenfeld's example showing that a CEO could succeed without being a rapacious Ebenzer Scrooge monster--his apparent interpretation of the ideal Randian character--shows that he probably hasn't read the book either.
I recommend everyone re-read this book, and notice carefully the two different kinds of businessman described, and how they behave, and what their respective relationships to the government are. Then compare to real-life businessmen.
