<A future Vice President of the United States shouldn't be the CEO of a corrupt corporation, inflating earnings to drive up stock prices.

You seem to have a problem with corrupt individuals holding office. Who did you and all the other righteous liberals vote for in the 1992 and 1996 elections? I am also interested in how a CEO would be aware that someday he will be a Vice-President. Tea leaves?
