I can think of a lot of other useful uses for such a weapon - especially a mobile one that could be carried by special forces for communication jamming, guidance system and radar jamming, etc.
And at long last, a clean anti-sat weapon.
The question now is - how long before the technology is pilfered and delivered to our adversaries?
