"We do know that extremists acting in the name of Islam exploded a bomb in the WTC basement back in 1993.
We know that extremists acting in the name of Islam killed hundreds outside of two American embassies a few years ago.
We know that extremists acting in the name of Islam detonated a bomb outside American military barracks in Saudi Arabia a few years ago.
We know that extremists acting in the name of Islam have killed hundreds, perhaps thousands of people in the Philippines, Indonesia, India, Israel, the Kashmir, and other places over the past few years.
We know that extremists acting in the name of Islam hijacked 4 planes on Sept 11, 2001 and flew 3 of them into buildings, killing an estimated 3000 people.
We know that extremists acting in the name of Islam are holding 700 hostages in Moscow today. They murdered a 20 year old woman yesterday and are vowing to "kill hundreds of infidels".
When extremists acting in the name of Islam commit such acts, is it too much to ask that Moslem clerics condemn these acts as against the teachings of Islam? I'd fully expect Jewish or Christian leaders to denounce anything similiar done in the names of their religions."

My question exactly. Since this world is plagued by Wahabbi Islamists "misbehaving" in large numbers of notable instances (I've left out incidents like where a French pol was knifed by an Islamist because he was gay, an Austrailn woman gang-raped by Islamists because she was provocatively dressed", etc.) the fanatical expression of Islamic beliefs and resultant behaviour is at issue.
If a buncha Jews issued anti-American rhetoric daily, blew up the USS Cole, blew up US embassies and flew planes into our skyscrapers without constant, loud and visibly active rebuttal by Jewish religious authorities, I'd post "Judasim is Love" updates and take the flack for being anti-semetic (sic) for that position.
Try holding people responsible for their actions or inaction instead of being a professional apologist. We have lots of those.
