Door locks

Recently I had to install a lock on my 2 yr old's door. It was the only way to keep her in time out, since she already figured out how to take the childlock off the door knob. I felt awful doing it, but now we rarely have to use it. The other day as my wife and I took her to bed, she ran back to the door and slammed it shut. Then she came back and told us that she locked it, with a big grin on her face. My wife was horrified, since we were all locked in now. Luckily it only took about 5 minutes for me to figure out how to jimmy it open with a hanger. Then I showed my wife how, so she doesn't have to worry about getting locked in while a 2 year old has the run of the house. That would be scary.

By the way, the door never stays locked longer than it takes for her to calm down, so quit giving me those looks.
