United States of Europe
Most of us would probably agree that over the long haul a world government is at least idealistically a good idea.
If USE comes to pass, should we open up the possibility of US Statehood for advanced western nations? UK and Canada come to mind.
The logical progression of a world gov would involve the eventual merging of USE and USA with the stronger exerting the most influence.
Just scifi for the foreseeable future I suppose.
