A fast way to get whitespace into a document is to use the non-breaking space, coded like this:
Just in case that didn't show up:
&_nbsp;
(take out the underscore)
Coupled with the break tag <_br_> you can get some vertical whitespace happening.
The spacer gif is also useful, and more exacting. Get or make a 1 x 1 pixel transparent gif, then insert it via the img tag onto the page, stretching it as needed to space things out.
<_img src="path_to_image_folder/spacer.gif" width="15" height="10"_>
(btw, I'm throwing in the underscores because I don't know what this board will read as a tag--hence making the code invisible--and what it won't.)
spacer gifs are usually pretty easy to find...check your temporary internet files folder and there's a good chance you'll find one in there, called spacer. gif or maybe shim.gif
I hope this helps. If I misunderstood your question, let me know :-)
