<I've never heard the GOP write a word about the evil "poor" people.
No, of course not.
Just all those chislers on welfare. Why don't they put their kids in daycare and get jobs? It's not that hard.
Just all those dirty homeless people. Why don't they get off the streets, for God's sake? They're a public nuisance.
Just all those people with kids in public schools sucking up taxpayer money. Jeez, if they'd just find a nice private school we could close all those places.
Just all the people buying milk and bread with food stamps. You'd think they could get jobs that paid more.
Just all those elderly poor in the subsidized apartments using Medicaid. Feckless wonders. If they had saved anything they wouldn't be on the dole. Why should the taxpayers support them?
Just all those kids in publicly funded afterschool programs. For crying out loud! Where are their parents? Whaddaya mean, "at work"? Don't they know it's their responsibility to take care of their kids?
As long as the poor are neither seen nor heard, the GOP will never criticize them. If they fail to be invisible, the poor will be criticized roundly, not for their bank accounts but for their moral turpitude.
