Bush's critics are running desperately low on ammo

A history of the President's political career is peppered with the word "suprised."

W has been underestimated repeatedly, mainly because there are those who very much wish he were not intelligent. But he's surprised his opponents, he's surprised the press, he's surprised the pundits...clearly, he's an intelligent and skillfull man, a true "people-person."

Perhaps he's had a spotty business career (since when is business acumen important to the left?), but as a political leader he's a giant. He's genuine, and he brings people together. He's also apparently quite an inspiring presence in person.

But the left won't let go of their petty, ridiculous claims about his intelligence because they know when they can't repeat that lie anymore, it'll become obvious to everyone that they're running on empty. I can't beleive they're thinking about recycling Al Gore. He may be a smart fellow, maybe even somewhat decent, but he's also an over-handled, over-rehearsed, over-scripted mannequin, a clothes-horse for the Dems. I say he may be a decent man because with all that high-priced handling, who can tell? Has anyone ever seen the real Al Gore, the man under all those rehearsed mannerisms? He is most certainly not a wysiwig player.
