Java is a good programming language, in many ways better than C++ but somewhat slower in execution speed. However, not everyone wants or needs a Java runtime on their computer. Forcing Microsoft to include Sun's Java runtime distribution would just add to the bloatware already present in Windows. If someone wants or needs Java, they can easily download it just like they do for Adobe Acrobat's reader or other add-ins.
More to the point, where the hell does Sun get off trying to force other companies to include their products in their distributions? How would it be in other industries, like if GM went to court to force other automakers to include GM parts in their cars?
In the case of Java, Sun is being something of a hypocrit. Microsoft licensed Java then added extensions to make it better suited for Windows programming. Sun sued Microsoft. Microsoft decided to drop Java. Sun sued Microsoft. I don't blame Bill and company for telling Sun to take a flying leap.

I like Java too but disagree with Sun's lawsuit
