Yeah, we get the hard rains here as well. A deluge followed the express the other night, but because there is a lot of rain here all the time, the land absorbs most of it and the most damaging result was a bit of bark mulch washed onto the sidewalk.
I wonder if the impression of smelling the tropics is real? Can scents travel that far? All that's missing is the hula music.
