Its a she. She showed up at our door two days before our other cat died. We have never had a cat just show up at our house. Its like tshe knew there would be a cat vacancy at our house. I wanted to call her Grimmy, the Grim Reaper kitty, but that seemed a little morbid.
She and my Dachshund play rough with each other. She usually wins.
