"so of course, that means she's a cat magnet. She can walk within 100 feet of a cat and it'll immediately go right to her. Cats know who doesn't like them."
My 1st wife was like that. Could not stand cats. So, a neighbor's Iranian Attack Cat from over a block away (we're 1+ acre rural-suburban) would patrol daily thru my wife's precious perrenial garden. At 1st she chased it away for using the garden as a bathroom. But the cat would swing by day after day and watch her garden. Eventually they became fast friends. Since the cat's family worked and my wife was at home, the cat came over every day for company. I was briefly working at home trying to start a new company and I'd be on the computer upstairs and hear a "Blerrrt?" and Shangool (Happy in Farsi) would be at my side. My wife had let him in and he was tired of watching her downstairs. He'd come over early and watch me forlornly thru the sliding glass kitchen doors as I ate breakfast. Unfortunately this really friendly meowser passed away last year from diabetes, something the vet shoulda caught.
