Civilization goes in spurts
That was hundreds of years ago. What have they done lately?<b/>
Nobody is "on" all the time. Some day America will pass the baton (gently I hope) to some other upstart civilization with a lot of vigor and new ideas. Or more likely, the world will be too globalized to differentiate (except at KKK meetings).
