My observations are not unique and they certainly don't apply universally or even predominantly to most teachers. However, I can think of a few I know from my own experiences that qualify as deeply embittered people using their bully pulpit to create clones of their own distorted viewpoints.

I know Canada is different. Folks who grow up in a socialized system can't understand how folks can get so riled at government intrusion into their children's minds when it refers to anti-capitalism, yet if they preach abstinence - the fireworks go off and the rants begin.

Lindy and you (who along with SM and McFly are the Maple Leafers of HZ) have subtly been indoctrinated by the Canadian educational system.

It's easy for Canadians to rag on the US, just like it is easy for us to rag on Canada, Belgium, France or whatever nation displeases us.
