I'll actually agree with you that there are some terrible teachers out there.
However... have you ever been to Canada? Been in an average Canadian school? Do you actually personally face-to-face know any real Canadians?
And if you think that Americans are not "sublty indoctrinated" in myriad ways, some of them not very nice to contemplate, then you're living in some kind of alternate reality.
