Re: So exactly what concerns are left?

1. Sauce for the goose, sauce for the gander. If military record is going to be an issue in political campaigns, all the candidates' records need to be documented non-fiction.

2. If someone is the Commander-in-Chief and has some issues with past military service, or lack thereof, I for one am concerned that he not try to compensate for past inadequacies by playing at junior bird men now.

3. If a man is going to declare his fitness for office based on being an upright up-front kind of guy, his permanent record needs to be upright and up front, which includes acknowledging any mistakes of his youth that would be considered a political liability. This is a man whose annual physical is reported to the world. Surely shyness is not an issue.

4. If there's no problem, why doesn't he just make everything public and forget about it? It makes me wonder what exactly is being hidden that occurred during the Secret Time. Was he on a year-long bender? Was he receiving electric shock treatments? Was he abducted by aliens?

If this were a Democratic candidate, what would you be thinking?
