Mars

On probabilities: Mars is about twice as likely to be hit as Earth, so you'd be mad to go there if you fear the sky falling.

Of course, in either location it's a rare event so cross your fingers and it might be OK - certainly in your own lifetime. How many people do *You* know who got killed by an impactor?

As to who goes? Read Kim Stanley Robinson. Everyone goes, and we get to sort out the mess at the other end.
