"Based solely on his posts on MSNBC BBS I think a reasonable person could well conclude that DiGregorio actually borders on (or maybe even crosses over into) self-righteousness."

Everyone likes to blow their own horn. As far as I know, Barry hasn't gone so far as to invent a callender and decide what year will be "Year 1" on Mars. Nor has he taken a Shuttle Derieved Booster and called it the "Shuttle D"...

"Whether DiGregorio becomes a "force to be dealt with" is, in my opinion, an issue that is in doubt. If he continues to ignore FACTS and/or continue promulgating deceptive (or even crankish) theories, then NO ONE in the scientific community will take him seriously. Regardless of whether he is right or wrong, if he cannot effectively communicate his ideas to others then he in fact has nothing."

Ahhh, You mean just like Wacko environmentals are not a "force to be dealt with" because no one could possibily believe that stupid stuff???

Whatever happened to NERVA??

Why is Richard Hoaxland a best selling author???

Why haven't we been back to the moon...

See... The facts don't matter as much as you seem to think that they do... Also, it matters not what the "scientific" community thinks because what I am refering to here is Political and public opinion.

Alex Writes

"All this shows is that he who shouts the loudest gets heard by the largely uninformed public. What's important is the SUBSTANCE of the message, not its volume."

Right. If you believe this then you simply don't understand... No Bucks, No Buck Rodgers. The substance matters little... The "uninformed public" stopped Apollo, Nerva, The Vietnam War, Nuclear Plant Construction, and almost Cassini..
