Partial Agreement With Al
I think Al is entirely right that MSR decisions can be influenced by BD through public opinion even if he is scientifically way off base. I'm not sure, but the Cassinni protestors might have had more effect if organized as early in the process as ICAMSR.
However the best way to deal with him in my view is to buils a website pointing out the flaws in most of the positions and examples at Barry's site. A public interaction just gives him more credibility and subjects people to the arguing with a fool effect. I'd probably volunteer though if given the chance just for the fun of it.
