Hello,
What about the fact that the hawaiian islands are created/located by/on a "hot spot" deep within the earth? As you know, this area is the most volcanically active area on the planet. The new evidence/information about the hawaiian islands is more than just a coincidence and perhaps with further study the realtionship this area has with its surroundings will be better understood.
