Should the shuttle Columbia be sold, or mothballed?
I'm in favor of the Columbia being
sold to the highest bidder, but what do you think?
According to the grapevine, NASA
masy want to mothball it instead.
I prefer that NASA sold it to
a serious wealthy buyer, (either an American billionaire or private corporation interested in space.)
but that's my opinion.
NASA could use the money from such a sale; there's a Pluto spaceprobe that needs serious funding.
And a private owner of the space-shuttle Columbia could use it to launch "space-tourists", etc., something NASA
can't or won't do.
(I've read, a module to hold 68 passengers can be built that would
fit into a space-shuttle's cargobay).
