Hans Morovic in "Robot" has a nice scale of Gips vs "intelligence" level. We'll want home appliances that we can talk to and that can render very hi-res video. The PC per-se will not exist in its prevalent form next decade except as an office machine appliance. There'll be wireless interaction between many different types of devices. Voice input and response, natural sounding, will be common. It's here today, just needs lotsa MIPS.
