I was wondering if the angled line which the channels seem to come out of might be a fault, and fluid came up and ran down a slope creating the channels. This could also be an important indication of underground water, because the surface being dune like shows no signs of other channels.
If the fluid is running down the photo then as it comes close to the angled line (cliff?) the ground could become more level giving delta like channels.
