History does not support your ideas. The PC you work on would not be possible without the integrated circuit developed by NASA. Weather sats would not be in existence without rocket technology. How many failed rocket launches occured in the late 50s and through the 60s? Far more than the free market would have paid for that's for sure. YOu can argue the point all you like but you are exactly analogous to the creationists insisting their point of view in the face of overwhelming evidence.
