SWRI/APL Pluto Misison Selected by NASA
NASA has selected the Pluto Kuiper Belt mission proposal submitted by the "New Horizons Team" composed of SWRI (Southwest Research Institute) and APL (Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory). Stanford University, Ball Aerospace, and NASA's GSFC also participated in the mission proposal development. A formal announcement is expected within 24 hours.
