I don't see the big deal
Israel...Palestine or whatever you want to call it, has a land area of around 7,000 sq. miles. It's tiny, and has absolutely no natural resources of significant quantity. The only problem I see is that it's sort of close to the Suez Canal. Just fortify the East side of the canal and let the worthless bastards fight it out. If the Invaders want the wasteland so bad, let THEM fight for it. If the defenders wish to keep it, let them drive the invaders into the sea. Two men enter...one man leaves, that is the law.
