<Thunderbird is a low cost single stage rocketship designed to carry ordinary people on short sub-orbital pleasure flights into space.
The mission seems to be focused on winning the prize. I have no problem with that but it would be somewhat ironic if this minimalistic approach wins the 10 mil without doing anything significant to achieve CATS.
The Xprize foundation is okay I guess but imo NASA should put up a 1 bil prize with requirments including magnitude reduction in launch costs for an orbital flight.
