Since this is a "space" forum, what spacebased solution(s) do you offer for the oil-tap running dry?
(1) Should we build a city-sized solarpower platform in orbit to generate
1000's of megawatts of power?
(2) Should we mine He3 from the lunar surface to use in nuclear-fusion powerplants here on earth?
(3) Should automobiles use O2/H2 fuel-cells [like those on the Space Shuttles] to provide power?
(1) and (2) would be very very expensive...Think trillions of dollars (US).
