The problem is one poll isn't conclusive. A few years ago a couple of polls from CNN and maybe MSNBC came out saying the Moon was the number one choice, something like 45% of the people vote wanted a return there first. It's easy to get into a denial thing with any of these polls. People will either say the folks taking the poll were stupid or misunderstood the meaning or someone stacked the deck or they will distort the numbers to fit their own needs.

If in a few months another poll is done and similar numbers come out of it. Then you might be able to make a good case for Mars over the Moon, but it would be a hard sell in this community.
