Using Fly wheels instead of batteries.
Why doesn't N.A.S.A. use solar powered fly wheels on probes instead of batteries?
Could such systems work on Mars For years?
Couldn't the rover just shut down at night and let the flywheel spin or even if all power is lost couldn't the fly wheel spin back up once sunlight was restored and the computer be rebooted?
