<Here is an image of the antarctic regions of Earth showing the sort of geometry that I observe on Mars. (Look at the thin dark threads cut by streams through the snow in the valley in mid-scene.)
Be very careful how you use this image. There is a trap for the unwary here. The image has a scene-averaged temperature of ~ 0 C (273 K). Liquid water is stable here. Not so on Mars for M1001115 etc.
