EP,

Everyone knows your full of it so just give it up. There are far too many reliable impact sources on the net, all easy to find, for anyone even vaguely interested not to know you are vastly inflating the threat. The biggest problem is that you are too stupid to realize that you decrease the credibility of the threat by making false claims. Even people who don't know much about the issue can tell you are a nut and may well wonder if the whole field isn't dominated by chicken little nutcases.

It wouldn't matter if you didn't live so close to Washington. I think nutcases like you are one of the biggest threats to getting the increased funding needed. After one encounter with you, any congressman is likely to turn deaf ears to real impact experts asking for funding. Stay the hell out of the way of the proffessionals like Steel, Chapman, Gehrals, Helin, Binzel, & Morrison. You certainly aren't fit to hold Gene Shoemaker's toilet paper despite your dellusions that you can can make better impact threat estimates than he and the other geologists and astronomers who have evaluated hard data rather than your prefered source of subjective data.

Your historical record interpretations are about as loony as your comc & picture book based interpretations of space history and laughable psychological profiles. What is your real job that allows you to make a living so divorced from reality?

Regards,
Mark
