Should it continue?

The plot will include the discovery of a "present" from past visitors to our solar system... a key to allow us to visit our "neighbors" ... this is my first attempt at writing and i do NOT want to clutter things up here with poor boring prose... so please let me know if it seems interesting or boring or poorly thought out... or unintentionally funny...:)

I am a scientist, but not skilled in aerospace, or engineering... so feel free to to correct technical errors...(PLEASE!)
