Re: For Buck

The most obvious model to compare is the public school one. No one who sends their kids to public schools pays anything additional to the taxes that fund public education. Do you know anyone who did? And it's the same model in public school systems all over the world.

And all over the world the same model in general applies to national healthcare systems.

The entire argument that there is some government plan to take your freedom by providing universal healthcare is straight out fear mongering.

The people of this country do things collectively as a nation every day. We can as a nation decide to expand medicare to cover everyone and eliminate the need for the blood sucking middle man insurance companies. Taxes will be higher but YOU save the $1000/mon. EVERYONE is covered and the market dominance of Medicare will control the rising costs of that threaten the future.

That's not socialism, that's a nation of people deciding together how to solve a problem that will wreck the economy in a few decades if left unaddressed.
